Upcycled French Market Basket Style Handbag

This new handbag fully lined with a zip closure was designed in Provence and entirely handcrafted by fair trade artisans in Madagascar using T-shirts offcuts woven with raffia.  The pieces off jersey are skillfully cut into pieces by local craftspeople who tie them and weave them with raffia.  Knots and irregularities are part of each creation making each bag completely unique. 

The long stitched leather handles fit nicely over the shoulder,  This bag is fully lined with black cotton fabric and benefits from an internal pocket to keep keys or mobile phone safe.    The clasp closure on the front pocket adds an elegant touch to this beautiful handbag.
